2026 Classes and Dates

In 2025 we are offering our 300, 400, 500 & 800 series classes. We have limited spaces and they usually go pretty quick. Paid tuition is required to hold a slot and is not refundable, so make sure the dates you pick will work for you.

Our 300 Class is our Basic Long Range class, designed primarily around long range hunting.

Our 400 Class is our Advanced Long Range Hunting class this class is about field shooting positions and advanced wind reading more than anything.

Our 500 Class is our Precision .22 class, this class is for rimfire training for long range hunting. We will cover long ranges 300+ yards, moving targets, loop hole shooting and much more. This also makes it popular with PRS and NRL 22 competitors.

Our 800 Class is our Reloading for Long Range Hunting class, this class is centered around precision reloading for the long range hunter and precision rifleman.

Classes are hosted at the C4 Ranch, where there are complete classrooms, bunkhouse and primary range. Breakfast lunch & dinner are provided during class. If you don’t have a long range rifle but are interested in learning we have complete custom rental rifles for a minimal rental fee.

 

 CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

300 CLASS–

CLASS TUITION: $2000.00

 

                300 CLASS– This is our combo class it is 3 days long and includes the basic and advanced materials plus additional time field shooting. We designed this class for the out state person who can’t or doesn’t want to make multiple trips to get in both the basic and advanced classes. In this class you will spend 2 nights at long range shooting camp in the woods. We supply almost everything needed for the 3 days, spacious bunk house , XL twin beds, all food starting with lunch on day 1 (prepared by a dutch oven chef) and specialized shooting gear.

Location: NearCoeur D’Alene Id.            

Times: Day 1 will start meeting us at the Defensive Edge shop (15670 N Ranch Valley Rd, Rathdrum, ID 83858), have breakfast before you meet us at 07:00, we will take you out to long range camp and have the classroom portion of the class, train on LRH theory with sub calibers and get a start on condition reading. Days 2 and 3 will be longer days as we will start early to take advantage of the best shooting conditions and finish in the late afternoon. These days will cover hunting caliber rifles and full field shooting conditions. Total class time is approximately 30-32 hours.

Defensive Edge 400 Class

                The Defensive Edge long range shooting class 400 series is for graduates of the 300 class that want to work on field / hunting deployment skills. The 400 long range shooting class utilizes all of the long range shooting skills learned in the 300 long range shooting class. What the 400 long range shooting class offers in addition to the 300 long range shooting class is that we spend the majority of our time shooting from different field positions and deploying from a backpack.

Defensive Edge 500 Class

500 Class – Precision .22 RF

Our 500 Class is our Precision .22 class, this class is for rimfire training for long range hunting. We will cover long ranges 300+ yards, moving targets, loop hole shooting and much more. This also makes it popular with PRS and NRL 22 competitors. All ammo and rifles are supplied and there is a pretty good volume of shooting in the class.

This class is pretty much all inclusive , you should just need to bring personel items with you.

This class will require you bring more gear or have it shipped out ahead of class. While accomodations are complete the students will need a quality firearm / optic, reloading components, and posssibly dies depending on caliber. If you have questions about this please call me.

The C4 Ranch has a complete 4 station reloading area as well as covered firing line with concrete benches, radar chronographs will be available to assist in load development as well as other range gear. In short gear and instruction will be available to get the most out of your precision shooting setup.
